In response to receiving this tremendous honor, Ken McKenna told the Legal Aid Society, “The Guardian Ad Litem program has provided me a unique opportunity to be a voice for children. While it is sad to see many children in truly horrible situations, it is rewarding to see families making positive changes to facilitate reunification. It is also quite rewarding to serve as a GAL in cases resulting in adoption as these cases truly represent the system at its very best. It is an honor to have the chance to step forward and make a difference in the lives of children.” McKenna is also the current Chairman of the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. He is a Martindale-Hubbell, AV-rated attorney and his trial practice is concentrated in the areas of complex personal injury and wrongful death, medical malpractice, and insurance company bad faith.
